Mahindra Thar CRDe 4WD

Launched in India in 2013. Thar CRDe 4WD is not in production now.

Inspired from the ancestor version of the 4 wheel king in India, the Mahindra Thar, is an inspirational design from the Mahindra Jeep. Winning over the design and styling of the vehicle is the number of colour options the vehicle is made available in. A total of five to six colour options are made available to the customers of the Thar across the country. Equipped itself with a 2498cc NEF TCI- CRDe engine capable of producing a massive 103.5 Bhp of power at 3800 rpm and a net torque of 247 Nm at 1800-2000 rpm. An NGT 530R V4 5-speed manual transmission system is installed within the vehicle to shift through the gears. The overall fuel efficiency from the Diesel engine numbers to around 17 kmpl which is pretty good for an adventure utility vehicle. Braking system of the Thar is assisted with a pair of Hydraulic with Tandem Master Cylinder with LCRV Disc and Drum brakes in the front and rear wheels respectively. Thar does conquer much of all terrain and climate conditions its been taken to, yet the vehicle assures great mobility and stability with a front loaded IFS With Torsion Bar And Stabilizer Bar and a rear Semi Elliptical Leaf Spring suspension system.
