The J.D Power Asia Pacific research rated Mahindra XUV500 as No.2 in the SUV segment. The XUV 500 offers excellent ride and handling. The vehicle also offers better mileage and acceleration. Under the hood of the all new Mahindra XUV 500 W8 is a massive 2179cc mHawk140, Direct injection diesel engine 5th generation Variable Geometry Turbo charger (VGT) engine with an overall capacity of rendering a maximum power output of 140 Bhp at the rate of 3750 rpm and a net torque of 330 Nm at 1600-2800 rpm. A six-speed Synchromesh Manual transmission system incorporated in the massive engine delivers quick and easy gear shift. An average of 16 kmpl of fuel efficiency is earned from the vehicle, well it is not a lossy figure after all the vehicle provides the driver with a huge 70 litre fuel tank capacity. Braking system of the all new XUV is engaged with a standard option for Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), an Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) system and an Electronic Stability Program (ESP), which allows to reduce damping at high performance and maintain the rigidity and stability of the vehicle in hard and rough terrain surfaces. A front and rear Multi-link type with anti-roll bar suspension system of the vehicle helps to deliver a smooth and stable drive experience.
