Lamborghini's Urus SE brings hybrid power to India with a starting price of ₹4.57 crore.
Lamborghini has introduced the Urus SE to the Indian market, setting a new benchmark for performance SUVs. Priced at ₹4.57 crore (ex-showroom), the Urus SE features a twin-turbo 3996 cc V8 engine, paired with a 25.9 kWh plug-in hybrid system. This powerful combination generates an impressive 778 bhp and 800 Nm of torque, allowing the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, with a top speed of 312 km/h.
One of the standout features of the Urus SE is its improved power-to-weight ratio. Lamborghini has managed to reduce the weight of this SUV, resulting in a better ratio of 3.13 kg/CV compared to the previous Urus S model, which had a ratio of 3.3. This improvement enhances both performance and driving dynamics, making the Urus SE a more agile and responsive vehicle on the road.
In line with Lamborghini's push towards electrification, the Urus SE is equipped with a pure electric mode. This feature allows the SUV to reduce emissions by up to 80% compared to other models in the Urus lineup. Additionally, it can cover a distance of up to 60 kilometers using only electric power, making it a more eco-friendly option in the luxury SUV segment.
The Urus SE also comes with several design updates that add to its appeal. While the overall silhouette remains similar to the previous models, the SE version features a slightly longer bonnet and revised headlamps with Matrix LED technology. Lamborghini has introduced new character lines on the bonnet, which are said to improve aerodynamics and cooling efficiency. The front bumper, grille, and rear diffuser have also been updated, giving the SUV a sharper and more aggressive look.
Inside, the Lamborghini Urus SE offers subtle yet significant upgrades. The cabin now includes redesigned AC vents, updated materials, and new dashboard coverings. A 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, borrowed from the Lamborghini Revuelto, provides a more responsive interface and includes a dedicated telemetry system, enhancing the overall driving experience.
