Tata Curvv EV Now Available, ICE Variant Launching on September 2 with Multiple Engine Options
Tata Motors has introduced the Curvv EV, marking a significant step in the Indian electric vehicle market. Priced from ₹17.49 lakh to ₹21.99 lakh, the Curvv EV is now available for booking, with test drives starting on August 14, 2024. Alongside this, Tata has revealed the key specifications of the upcoming Curvv ICE version, which will be officially launched on September 2, 2024.
The Curvv EV offers two battery options:
- 45 kWh Battery: ARAI-certified range of 502 km, with a real-world range of around 350 km.
- 55 kWh Battery: ARAI range of 585 km, with a real-world range of approximately 425 km.
Both variants support fast charging, allowing a 150 km range boost in just 15 minutes. The EV is powered by a 165 bhp electric motor, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.6 seconds, with a top speed of 160 km/h.
The Curvv ICE will feature three engine options:
- 1.2L GDI Petrol: Delivers 125 PS and 225 Nm of torque.
- 1.2L Revotron Petrol
- 1.5L Diesel: Generates over 110 PS and 260 Nm of torque, paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).
Both Curvv models share a distinctive SUV coupe design with a prominent LED light bar, robust bumpers, and a sleek roofline. They feature 18-inch alloy wheels and a ground clearance of 190 mm. The Curvv EV includes a 35-litre frunk and a 500-litre boot.
