Tata Motors, the leading automobile giant of India has unveiled Tata Safari Strome Mountain Rescue Concept at 2013 Geneva Motor Show. Together with Mountain Rescue, two other cars were showcased: Aria MPV and Tata Indica Vista S concept.
The Tata Safari Strome ‘Mountain Rescue’ is a modified version of the Safari Strome. The vehicle is a heavy duty SUV(Sports Utility Vehicle) comes in Red & White colour scheme. The colour scheme has been selected so to get a clear visibility in the snow. The SUV gets meaty off road tires covered by metal chains so that it can grip on treacherous icy and snowy surfaces.
The basic design of the car remains the same, still it got some changes. A snorkel air intake is provided for better breathing and water wading. A roof top cargo box is fixed on the top to carry the essential goods. The vehicle got a projector type HID Xenon bulbs and 'Mountain Rescue' graphics is affixed at the sides and rear.
Tata Motors also showcased an Automatic version if its flagship crossover, the Aria at the Geneva Motor Show. The Tata Aria is powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine producing 138 ps of power and 320 Nm of torque, which comes mated to a 6-speed. automatic gearbox. The Aria is 7-seater MPV(Multi Purpose Vehicle) and it comes with an updated headlights and tail lamps.
The Tata Aria has been on sale in India for over two years. Tata Aria is struggling in the domestic market, in spite of being well engineered, it just sold 4 units last month. The vehicle is expected to be launched by the end of 2013.
Another fourwheeler that Tata motors has showcased is concept S based on Indica Vista. The vehicle now got an aggressive and stylish exterior. The most striking features include a new front bumper, black grill, red colour logo. It is found that the speedo meter is placed in center of dashboard and silver finish bits above the grill. When the rear side is concerned, it seems that exhaust pipe is fixed in the middle.
It is very strange to say that the Tata Indica Vista S concept had been showcased earlier in 2010 Delhi Auto Expo. Tata Indica Vista Concept S2 was showcased later at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo. And now at 2013, Tata comes with another concept S based on Indica Vista..
