Buy a Skoda Rapid Now and Get a Fabia Hatchback Free

Skoda dealership in Gujarat has introduced a very unique offer. If you buy a Skoda Rapid, you will get a Fabia free after five years (in 2018).



Torque Auto introduces this unbelievable offer to celebrate Skoda’s 11th birthday of entering to the Indian market. Currently the scheme is offered in Gujarat state only.



"We had a deluge of inquiries and sales have been strong since then," Neelmani Sharma, CEO of Torque Auto stated to a reputed magazine. According to her, the 'buy one, get one free' offer in Gujarat has helped the company to boost up the sales. The company claims that it sold 600 cars since February 26 when it launched the offer.

Depending upon the Skoda Rapid diesel or petrol variant you buy, the Fabia to be given in 2018 will be a base diesel or petrol variant. Through this special scheme Skoda is giving Rs. 1 lakh discount to the Rapid. The customer will have to bare the cost of road tax, VAT, registration and insurance of the Fabia. If the customer does not want the car, the dealer will give Rs. 3.5 lakh in cash in 2018, as the base petrol currently retails at Rs. 3.5 lakh (ex-showroom).

"The agreement that we sign with the customer mentions that if the Fabia is not there in the market, we will give the customer another model that replaces Fabia," Sharma said.

Car manufacturers had announced a number of discount schemes for prospective customers. Volkswagen is one among them, which offers a new scheme that you can exchange an old model for a new Vento sedan by just paying Re 1 and without paying anything for the next one year.

"In December 2004, Hyundai had come out with a limited-period offer wherein you could buy a Santro for Rs. 3 lakh, or at least 15-20% cheaper than the prices prevailing then. The company is believed to have got bookings for the next five months in just a few weeks," said Pradip Saxena of the research firm TNS.

German luxury maker, Audi has announced a new scheme called 'Beat the Tax Hike'. This limited-period offer will be running till March 15. The offers allows the customers to buy Audi SUVs (Q3, Q5 and Q7O) at pre-budget rates.

Due to increased fuel rates and high interest rates, the slowdown in the car market is likely to continue for the next couple of months.
