Maruti Suzuki Offers Rs. 5000 Discount on Swift Diesel and Ertiga

India's largest car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki offers a discount of Rs 5000 on the Swift diesel hatchback and the Ertiga MUV.



The Maruti Suzuki Swift has been launched in India in 2005. The vehicle shows a high demand, but is declining in the sales now. It is the very first time that Maruti offering discounts to the Swift diesel since it launch while the manufacturer has been given discounts to the Ertiga diesel before.



"We are currently facing perhaps the toughest times in the past several years. The customer test-drives, rate of conversations of car bookings to retail sales all have declined in recent months. While waiting on all models has vanished, the lack lustre Budget has changed the swing even for models like Swift that have enjoyed huge waiting until last month" said a Maruti Suzuki dealer.

Swift Dzire compact sedan has a discount up to Rs.10,000 for selected markets like Bangalore and Mumbai to increase footfalls in the showrooms. However, Maruti Suzuki denied any discount on Swift for retail customers. The company's spokesperson said, "This is not true. There is no discount for retail customers. There may be offers for certain bulk deals."



Maruti Suzuki has already made offers with the instant delivery scheme on hatchback Swift Diesel and a discount up to Rs 45,000 on Ritz diesel.

The car manufacturing companies are now facing the slowdown in the sales. So the auto makers come forward with more attractive offers to recover their sales counts. The major automobile companies that came with the offers and discounts include Volkswagen, Skoda, Nissan, Ford and Tata Motors.

Volkswagen came with an offer of exchanging old car with new Vento. Skoda dealership in Gujarat had also introduced a new unique offer that if you buy a Skoda Rapid, you will get a Fabia free after five years (in 2018).

After the announcement of Union budget, the market slowdown has hit the SUV segment too. The budget proposes to increase the duty on SUV. The most popular SUVs are XUV500, Fortuner and Renault Duster.
