Honda Brio Diesel Sedan - Amaze to be Launched India in 2013

The genuine killer of Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire and Toyota Etios got scribed its official name, the Amaze. Japanese automobile firm Honda Motor Company plans to launch the diesel sedan version of the Brio, the Amaze in the financial year 2013-14. The new variant is specially modified for Indian, Chinese, Thailand and other Asian countrymen.



The Amaze is expected to come with a 1.5-litre diesel engine, which is modified from 1.6 litre engine which powers the Civic in European countries. With a 5-speed manual gear transmission, it will be powered by maximum output of 88PS @6000rpm and peak torque of 109Nm @4600rpm. The Amaze will be priced between Rs.6 and Rs.8 lakh.



Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire,Toyota Etios and Indico CS are its major competitors.
