German premium car manufacturer, Mercedes Benz launched its much awaited luxury hatchback, B Class in India. The all new B Class is the very first hatchback of Mercedes Benz India. Making it available in two variants, B 180 and B 180 Sport, it is priced at Rs.21.49 lakh and Rs.24.87 lakh, respectively.
“We are extremely excited with the initial response of the B-Class in India. Our strategy of introducing the segment and then launching the car has been well received by our customers. The huge response only demonstrates that the hree Pointed Star is easily the most aspired brand in India, and kicks off a beginning of our product offensive in next couple of year in India. The sell-out of the new B-Class in the pre-launch phase convinces us that there is a latent demand for ‘Sports Tourers’ in India, and they are looking forward for cars loaded with features,†said Director, Sales and Marketing of Mercedes-Benz India, Mr. Debashis Mitra while unveiling the B Class.
Included of all facilities of a multi utility vehicle, power of a sports utility vehicle and comfy of a sedan, the B Class will be a new experience to the India drivers. Till the date, Mercedes Benz has sold out more than 75000 B Class units globally. The B Class is majorly targeted 28-30 aged car maniacs.
At present, petrol versions which are fully imported as completely-built units are only available in the stores. Further, diesel versions will be on road by the third quarter of 2013.
Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza are the brand ambassadors of the B Class.
