The Indian car maker Mahindra & Mahindra has planned to introduce compact version of Verito as "Verito CS". The launch was confirmed by Dr Pawan Goenka President and CEO at Mahindra's automotive sector. He said that the launch will happen before the end of March 2013.
The Verito CS, compact sedan was basically the chopped off version of Verito. It is expected that the car is more or less similar to Verito, the interior space won't be compromised in reduction.
The major changes would be made at the rear as it will get a shorter boot-lid and redesign its tail section which differentiate CS from its larger siblings.
The Verito Cs will be powered by an economical 1.5-liter K9K diesel engine. Mahindra Verito CS was the second sub-4 meter car after the recently launched Quanto. The Verito CS will compete against the Tata Indigo eCS and high selling Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire.
While the pricing is concerned, Mahindra takes the advantage of tax cuts and lower excise duties to make Verito CS more competitive.
The estimate cost benefit to Mahindra will to be around Rs.35,000 to 50,000, so we expect a good share to be passed to the customers.
In order to make it a great option for price conscious customer, the price of this upcoming compact sedan is expected to be around Rs.4.8 lakh to Rs.6.2 lakh.
