As other car manufacturers' are yet to launch their 2014 models, Audi, the German car manufacturer has announced the price range of its much anticipated car, the A3. The all new 2015 A3 starts at $29,900, which is not included the destination charge of $895. The vehicle will be competing with the 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA.
The A3 luxury compact sedan is be offered in three engine variants- 1.8-liter TFSI, 2.0-liter TFSI and 2.0-liter TDI. The 2.0-liter TDI is the lone diesel variant. And the all engines feature direct-injection, turbocharging and four cylinders. The gear system will be a six-speed dual-clutch transmission for the US customers, as six-speed manual transmission is offered only to the European enthusiasts.
“The Audi A3 sedan raises the bar in this premium compact segment. It will add to our momentum in the U.S. marketplace by bringing a new level of technology, craftsmanship and performance to the market,” said Mr. Scott Keogh, President, Audi of America.
Though the $29,990 is the price tag of its base model, it includes fetaures such as panoramic glass sunroof, leather seats, and bi-xenon headlamps. The A3 is also the first in class to offer MMI technology, Audi drive select, 4G LTE connectivity and Bang & Olufsen audio.
