The World's best selling car company, Volkwagen, has just disclosed all details about the next generation Golf, the e-Golf. The car is supposed to be debuted at the LA Auto Show, that begins on 22nd November.
The zero emission e-Golf is powered by a 24.2-kWh liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery, which is capable to burn out a peak power of 115 horsepower and 199 pound-feet of torque. The car clocks 0-60 mph in 10.4 seconds.
The e-Golf is offered in two driving modes- Eco and Eco+, and driver-selectable brake regeneration modes. The second mode is meant for one-pedal driving. VW assures a driving range between 70 and 90 miles.
With a 220 volt wallbox in a garage, the car gets fully recharged in 4 hours. While, it takes 20 hours from a standard household plus which supplies only 110 volt. At the same time, it needs just 30 minutes to recharge 80% of the cell using a DC fast-charge.
The e-Golf had a standard and a classic look. The LED headlight, unique grille and front fascia, and aero-optimized wheels are cool enough. Meanwhile, the inside gets new instrument cluster layout with a touchscreen display that shows a range monitor, energy flow indicator and an e-manager.
