The world's best car manufacturer, VW, has redesigned the CrossBlue Concept. The machine will be debuted at the upcoming 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show.
The CrossBlue is a plug-in hybrid vehicle. It's based on the MQB architecture seen in the 2015 Golf and Audi A3. The machine is powered by a turbocharged gasoline V-6, two electric motors which are powered by a 9.8-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack. It's coupled with a six-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission.
The vehicle is capable to deliver a peak power of 415 hp, which helps to clock a top speed of 147 mph and takes to 60 mph in just 5.8 sec from standstill.
Unfortunately, the fuel efficiency of the refreshed car has gone down to 78 MPGe. Earlier, it was 70 MPGe when VW announced the same in Shanghai. Meanwhile, the range has also gone down from 21 miles to 13 miles in electric mode, whereas the hybrid mode has dropped from 720 miles to 570 miles.
The all new CrossBlue will be targeting the stake of BMW X3, Volvo XC60, and Range Rover Evoque.
