The German car maker, Audi, has partnered with the World's biggest IT giant, Google, to feature Android OS powered tablet PC in Audi vehicles coming out in the future.
The new option will be an advantage to Audi owners above its rival brands – Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Volvo. However, neither Google nor Audi has revealed the technical specifications of the touchscreen infotainment system which is to be installed in the Audi dashboards.
So far the auto-freaks have been experiencing only second class touchscreen in cars with bad touchscreen sensitivity, less resolution and quality, below average graphics, confusing menu and OS, and such as things.
Google is also known for its self-driving car that scribed a world record recently. And along with its street view functions, Audi drivers are promised world class navigation. Moreover, it will be equipped with better integration of music and navigation apps, as well as improved smartphone communication.
The Google-Audi partnership will be officially announced in the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
