Peugeot has unveiled the 2014 308 SW. The all new 308 SW will be a new impact in the European, American, and progressing Asian markets, hopes the company.
The 7 seater compact family estate will be officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March. The vehicle is expected to go on sales worldwide shortly after launch.
The car comes with one of the best in class cargo space figures, 610 liters. Being built on the EMP2 platform, the car has saved 140 kilos. This helps to gain increased fuel efficiency.
It is powered in three engine options – a 1.6-litre BlueHDi diesel, a 2.0-litre BlueHDi delivering a peak power of 148bhp, and a 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine boasting 128 bhp of max power.
The Peugeot 308 SW sports a large 9.7-inch colour touchscreen in the centre console through which most of the major functions are controlled. And additionally LED rear lights, LED running lamps, cruise control, air-con and Bluetooth are equipped even in the base model, Access. Allure and Feline are the other trims.
The highlight of the 308 SW is its vast space. With a single pull of a lever in the boot, the seats fell down flat to get flat boot floor. The 308 SW is 30cm longer than the 308 hatchback.
The 2014 308 SW is expected to be priced around £16,000.
