Brabus, the world famous German tuning company, which exclusively serves the Mercedes-Benz, has once again added its Midas Touch to the GLA 220 CDI. And the new child would be called the Brabus D3.
The new Brabus Mercedes GLA SUV with AMG Sports Package features the same 2.2 litre turbocharged 4-cylinder diesel engine which now delivers an enhanced power package of 210 bhp and 410 Nm of torque after the tuning by Brabus.
On the regular GLA, the engine delivers a maximum power output of 134 bhp and 300 Nm of torque, minus the new electronic control unit and play and plug harness, which is present in the Brabus D3.
The acceleration from 0-100 kmph is achieved in 8 seconds, while the top speed swishes upto 220 kmph; whereas in the regular GLA 220 CDI the acceleration from 0-100 kmph is achieved in 10 seconds with a top speed of 205 kmph.
Besides these, there are a couple of internal and external modifications on the D3 which the Brabus tweaked into the GLA to mark the difference and these changes point at a new glossy black front spoiler lip, side skirts, carbon fiber grills, air vent surrounds, alloys, modified roof rails, a stylish rear wing and a rear diffuser featuring quad exhaust pipes and a set of black Brabus Monoblock wheels. The car is adorned in a bright orange suit and wears the Brabus badge in several areas to stand out from the regular GLA 220 CDI.
