Following the successful launch of the EV6, Kia's first electric car in India, the introduction of the EV9 is a significant stride in expanding the brand's electric portfolio. Tae-Jin Park, the Managing Director and CEO at Kia India, has emphasized the brand's focus on introducing a new wave of electric models, starting with the mass production of an EV in 2025.

Crafted on the innovative Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), the EV9 stands out with its imposing size and state-of-the-art features. The SUV, comparable in dimensions to the global SUV Telluride, offers a choice between six or seven seats, and will be available in two variants, the HT Line and GT Line.
