After making waves in global markets, including South Korea, Kia's bold step to bring the EV9 to Indian shores earlier than anticipated underscores its dedication to the Indian market.
Expanding Horizons in the EV Segment
Following the successful launch of the EV6, Kia's first electric car in India, the introduction of the EV9 is a significant stride in expanding the brand's electric portfolio. Tae-Jin Park, the Managing Director and CEO at Kia India, has emphasized the brand's focus on introducing a new wave of electric models, starting with the mass production of an EV in 2025.

Crafted on the innovative Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), the EV9 stands out with its imposing size and state-of-the-art features. The SUV, comparable in dimensions to the global SUV Telluride, offers a choice between six or seven seats, and will be available in two variants, the HT Line and GT Line.
