Tata Unveils New CNG AMT Variants for Tiago and Tigor Starting at Rs. 7.89 Lakh

Tata Motors has set a new milestone in the Indian automotive market with the introduction of Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) versions of their popular Tiago and Tigor models in CNG. Marking a significant advancement, these vehicles are India's first CNG cars to be equipped with AMT technology. Offering a mix of convenience and efficiency, Tata aims to redefine the segment with these latest offerings.

Innovative Choices Across Variants

The Tata Tiago CNG AMT rolls out in four distinct trims: XTA, XZA+, XZA+ dual tone, and XZA NRG, starting at an inviting price of Rs. 7,89,900 for the XTA variant. The XZA+ and XZA NRG are both priced at Rs. 8,79,900, with the dual-tone XZA+ adding a splash of uniqueness for an additional Rs. 10,000.

On the other hand, the Tigor CNG AMT is available in two trims: XZA and XZA+, priced at Rs. 8,84,900 and Rs. 9,54,900, respectively. Both models come in an array of colors, including the newly introduced Tornado Blue for the Tiago, Grassland Beige for the Tiago NRG, and Meteor Bronze for the Tigor, adding more personality to these eco-friendly rides.

A Leap Forward in CNG Technology

Amit Kamat, the Chief Commercial Officer at Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd., highlighted the company's achievements and the growing acceptance of CNG as a preferred fuel option. Tata Motors has introduced several innovations in the CNG domain, such as twin-cylinder technology for uncompromised boot space, high-end feature choices, and the ability to start directly in CNG mode. With over 1.3 lakh CNG vehicles sold in the past 24 months, Tata's new AMT variants are expected to further solidify its position in the market.

Tata Motors now boasts the most extensive CNG portfolio in the industry, featuring models like the Tiago, Tigor, Altroz, and Punch. The introduction of the AMT CNG variants in the Tiago and Tigor models is a strategic move to cater to the increasing demand for more fuel-efficient and convenient driving options. Witnessing a remarkable 67.9% growth in CNG sales in FY24 compared to the previous year, Tata Motors is poised to continue its growth trajectory in the passenger car segment.
