Mahindra XUV700 Introduces Deep Forest Green and Burnt Sienna Shades

Mahindra's popular SUV, the XUV700, has marked a significant achievement by surpassing the 2,00,000 units production milestone in just 33 months since its launch. To commemorate this feat, Mahindra has unveiled two new color options for the XUV700: Deep Forest Green and Burnt Sienna.

Production Milestone and Popularity Surge

The XUV700 achieved its first 1,00,000 units in 21 months, showcasing robust demand in the market. The subsequent 1,00,000 units were produced in a swift 12 months, underscoring its growing popularity among SUV enthusiasts.

New Color Options

The new hues, Deep Forest Green and Burnt Sienna, join the existing palette of single-tone colors including Dazzling Silver, Electric Blue, Everest White, Midnight Black, Red Rage, and Napoli Black. These colors are now available across all variants of the XUV700.

Engine Options and Features

The Mahindra XUV700 is offered with a choice of two engines: a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine delivering 200 HP and a 2.2-litre diesel engine with up to 185 HP. Both engines are paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The diesel variant also offers an all-wheel-drive option, while the petrol variant is front-wheel drive.

Competitive Pricing and Market Position

Priced competitively between Rs. 13.99 lakhs and Rs. 26.99 lakhs, the XUV700 competes in the crowded SUV segment against rivals like the Tata Harrier, Tata Safari, MG Hector, MG Hector Plus, Hyundai Alcazar, and Jeep Compass.

Future Developments

Looking ahead, Mahindra is gearing up to launch an electric version of the XUV700, known as the XUV.e8, by the end of this year. Additionally, a comprehensive facelift for the XUV700, potentially renamed as the XUV 7XO, is in the pipeline. This update promises a refreshed design language, enhanced interior features, and an array of new offerings.
