Mahindra Ssangyong Korando Turismo Ready for 2013 Geneva Motor Show

Mahindra Ssangyong Korando Turismo, the 11 seater MPV(multi purpose vehicle) will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, which will be held on 5th March 2013. After that it will be launched in India by late 2013 or early 2014. In some countries the vehicle is known as Rodius and Stavic. Ssangyong has built the Korando Turismo over product philosophy – “Robust, Specialty, and Premium”.



The new Korando Turismo is built at an investment of around $165 billion. The Korando Turismo is the result of two and a half years of dedicated research. The most latest news regarding the Korando Turismo is that Ssangyong prefers to call the vehicle as MLV (Multi Leisure Vehicle). Anand Mahindra, Chairman and Managing Director of Mahindra tweeted about their new MLV and expressed his excitement and it’s potential for the Indian market. The 11 seater Koranda Turismo with 4 row seating has good demand in India.



Engine:
The new Mahindra Ssangyong Korando Turismo will be powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine with a peak power of 155 PS and a peak torque of 360 Nm. For the Korean and Russian markets alone, a 3.2-litre V6 petrol engine is available. The four wheeler comes mated with a 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic gearbox. Moreover an AWD(All Wheel Drive) will be available as an option. The four wheeler has a length of 5130 mm, width of 1915 mm and a height of 1815 mm. The vehicle has a long wheel base of 3000 mm, which improves the internal space.



Features:
The vehicle comes equipped with a sunroof, GPS navigation, multiple airbags, ABS, touchscreen infotainment system. The digital center cluster has a built-in computer providing essential information for drivers using simple and clear graphics.



Interior:
The updated interiors of the vehicle includes all the comforts and values, which ensures the Koranda is ideal for long distance travel. Korando Turismo with four rows of seats offers several folding options. The second and third row seats can be transformed as tables.



Exterior:
The vehicle will comes with a newly designed logo, which gives a premium look. The three line grille smoothly joining the projector headlamps is the other refreshed feature.

The four wheeler will be sold worldwide in three variants – Luxury touring (LT), Grand Touring (GT), and Royal Touring (RT). The vehicle is quite perfect for a large family that enjoys outdoor activities. The Mahindra Ssangyong Korando Turismo will be available at a price range of 12.09 lakh to 17.38 lakh.
