2024 MINI Cooper S and Countryman SE Electric Unveiled in India - Key Features and Pricing

MINI has introduced the 2024 MINI Cooper S and the Countryman SE Electric in India, with prices starting at Rs 44.9 lakh and Rs 54.9 lakh, respectively. These new models bring updated designs, enhanced features, and improved performance, catering to both petrol and electric car enthusiasts. Bookings are open, and deliveries will begin in September 2024.

MINI Cooper S: Updated Features and Specs

The 2024 MINI Cooper S has been launched in India with several updates and a starting price of Rs 44.9 lakh. Available in exciting colors like Ocean Wave Green, Sunny Side Yellow, British Racing Green, Chili Red II, and Blazing Blue, this classic 3-door model features a redesigned hexagonal front grille and LED headlamps.





The interior follows a minimalistic design with a 9.4-inch infotainment display, head-up display, toggle switches, and ambient lighting. The rear seats can be folded in a 60:40 split, expanding the trunk space from 210 to 725 liters. Safety updates include six airbags, an electronic parking brake, dynamic stability control, and Level 1 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).



Under the hood, the Cooper S is powered by a 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine, delivering 201 hp and 300 Nm of torque, paired with a dual-clutch automatic transmission. This setup allows the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.6 seconds, making it quicker than its predecessor.

MINI Countryman SE Electric: Features and Performance

The 2024 MINI Countryman SE Electric, priced at Rs 54.9 lakh, offers a fully electric option for the first time in India. Its interior has been completely revamped, featuring a 9.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with an OLED display, new tan-colored upholstery, and an electrically adjustable driver seat with a massage function. Additional features include blue trim inserts, an in-car camera, Digital Key Plus, MINI Connected technology, and Level 2 ADAS with 12 cameras.



The Countryman SE is equipped with a 66.4 kWh battery pack, providing a WLTP-claimed range of 462 km. The electric motor generates 201 hp and 250 Nm of torque, allowing the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 8.6 seconds.

Booking and Availability

Both the MINI Cooper S and Countryman SE Electric are available for bookings across authorized dealerships and the official website, with deliveries set to begin in September 2024. These new models mark significant steps for MINI in the Indian market, offering updated features and performance enhancements for both petrol and electric variants.
