Tata Indigo eCS has entered the Limca Book of Records by completing a non-stop nationwide mileage run. The Indigo eCS hit the record by covering 14,000 kms in a span of 15 days.
The Tata Indigo eCS touches the four main gateways- from Koteshwar in West to Kibithu in East, from Kashmir in the North to Kanyakumari in the South, crossing 19 states and union territories. Tata Indigo eCS gives the best fuel economy of 41.14kmpl. The vehicle also gives an average fuel economy of 18.7kmpl.

Tata motor built a new milestone through this achievement. Tata is always a trusted name in the four wheeler market. Tata introduced the world cheapest car, Tata Nano, which has already got the name as the 'people's car'.
It was in February 2012 that Tata Motors flagged-off an epic journey of a non-stop, nation-wide mileage & endurance run to challenge the Tata Indigo eCS in its efficiency and endurance. Tata Motors team and the Autocar India team in collaboration with international accounting firm KPMG to to validate the results of mileage and the endurance drive, by tracking distance on GPS. The vehicle was driven by a team of 13 auto experts through challenging terrains and varying climatic conditions.
