Mini is celebrating their 2013 Dakar Rally win by introducing a special edition called John Cooper Works Countryman All4 Dakar.
The 2013 Mini John Cooper Works ALL4 Dakar Special Edition will be sold only in Peterhansel’s home country of France and the production will be limited to 11 units as a tribute to Stephane Peterhansel's eleven Dakar Rally wins. The special-edition is based on the regular JCW Country All4, but it comes with a number of cosmetic changes.
Engine and Features:
The special-edition Mini is powered by the same 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder unit pumping 218 bhp (160 kW) and 280 Nm (207 lb-ft) of torque. The vehicle is is backed up by an ALL4 all-wheel drive system which enables the model to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 7.0 seconds. The four wheeler claims a top speed of 140 mph. The major other features include a sports steering wheel, leather-trimmed bucket seats, and 19-inch light alloy wheels with Cross-Spoke Crusher design..
Exterior:
The Mini special edition has matte black exteriors with green racing stripes and ‘Mini All4 Racing’ badges. The winning car's number '302' is displayed on both the driver and front passenger doors along with names of the victorious two drivers: Stephane Peterhansel and Jean-Paul Cottret.
Interior:
The interior is now colored in black and bright green for an impressive contrast. There is green contrast stitching in the black leather gearshift cover, green trim on the floor mats and green trim strips around the interior. The seats are now wrapped up in Gravity Black leather and above the glove compartment you’ll see a special edition logo with the car’s serial number.
Price of the MINI JCW Countryman ALL4 Dakar Winner 2013 was not announced yet. But most probably the price will be announced at coming week's Geneva Motor Show and is will be priced higher than the regular Countryman JCW.
