2015 Volkswagen Jetta Review

Long since the debut of many of the four wheeler vehicles in the sedan segment of cars in this year, people had been waiting to see a change. Setting up the red carpet entry to the Indian 4 wheeler motorcar market is the all new 2.0 L Turbocharged Jetta from Volkswagen. The car which was launched in the country two to three years from now, had been an eye catching craftsmanship and design.



All the elements of the vehicle stands out from the commercial design that we have been seeing lately. Igniting the all new sturdy looking vehicle is the heart of the car, a massive Turbocharged 2.0 L Diesel engine. A manual drive transmission system in three different variants of the 2.0 L engine is available in the dealerships across the country. Apart from the three variants (MT), the company has made available an Automatic Transmission for the same engine specification with a little bit hike in the actual price of the vehicle. Jetta will also be available in two variant, both manual transmission, which falls as the subsequent category under the new 1.4 L TSI engine.

Exterior

Elements of design and the overall structure of the all new Volkswagen Jetta 2.0 TDI (MT) is similar to that of the earlier version. Space

Though the vehicle appears to be of the normal size of that of a normal commercial sedan class vehicle, the overall interior leg space, head space and boot space of the vehicle is assured to be the best in class. A massive storage capacity of 510 litre in the boot is made available by the company. Well positioned boot can be made more spacious by folding the rear seats, either completely or by 60:40 ratios. Glove box comes with a much more level of space in the compartment. Passengers can maintain any of their valuables and such items within the reach of hand in the spacious new glove box. On the top is a sunglass compartment for the driver or the front seated passenger, which is also the best in class spacious compartment.

Safety

Safety is a key feature which is equally important as any other component. Safety of the driver and passengers are ensured by the installation of an all new set of a comprehensive six-airbag system which promises maximum protection for the driver as well as the co-passengers. The integrated air bag system pops up right from the dashboard, the steering wheel, the left and right side pillars and the right elbow rest of the driver. The integrated six-airbag system comes in as a standard option for the vehicle and hence the company assures more standard features of safety for its customers.
