Tata Indica Vista D90 First Drive

Tata Motors launched Indica Vista D90 on 28th January 2013. Thus Tata Indica Vista became the latest hatchback to enter the elite club of powerful hatchbacks in India.



Engine:
The new Indica Vista D90 will be powered by the 1.3-litre Fiat Multijet diesel engine that has a power output is 90 PS at 4000 rpm and the torque output is 200 Nm. The new Indica Vista now gets a Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT) and ECU. The new Vista got a fuel tank capacity of 44-litre compared to the regular Vista that offers a smaller 37-litre unit. As per the ARAI(Automotive Research Association of India) figures, the car has a pretty competitive mileage of 21.12 kmpl. The vehicle claims a top speed of 158 Kmph.



Interior:
The most noticeable change is the dashboard. A new Vista D90 got a 6.7-inch touch-screen audio system with GPS, AUX and USB compatibility. The another noticeable change on the Vista D90 is the instrument cluster that has been moved from the centre to right hand side. The new D90 gets driver information system that reads temperature, fuel efficiency, ambient temperature and time. The new Vista D90 got a climate control system, which has three modes – normal, automatic and economy. The Normal mode ensures that AC temperature in the car is as per the temperature set while the Auto mode senses the outside temperature and with the help of its sensors, automatically conditions the car below the outside temperature. The Economy mode saves fuel and increases mileage, automatically changing the AC compressor cycle to run in economy mode.



Exterior:
The Indica Vista D90 gets the distant D90 badge and also the ZX+ logo for the top level variant. The four wheeler's new sporty front and rear bumpers, lavish chrome pack, aerodynamic spoiler, triple barrel headlamps, infinity contrast roof and 2-tone alloy wheels, add vigour to the exteriors. The infinity contrast roof is an attractive design feature of the Vista D90.

The Tata Indica vista is well known to its driving comfort and quality. The handling of new Vista D90 is better than the regular Vista and is more stable at high speeds. The vehicle’s brakes are very good with ABS(Anti-lock Braking System) and EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution)working extremely well to prevent lock-ups. NVH(Noise Vibration Harshness) levels have been improved on the Vista D90, the engine noise reduced than before.

The new Indica D90 is available in five variety of colors- Porcelain White, Cavern Grey, Jet Silver, Spice Red and Ultra Violet. The Vista D90 will compete with the Maruti Swift, Fiat Punto, Hyundai i20 and Chevrolet Beat.
