MG Cloud EV Teaser Released: Upcoming Model to Launch in India Soon

MG Motor has released a teaser for its third electric vehicle in India, the MG Cloud EV, expected to debut next month. Based on the Wuling Cloud EV, this new model is generating excitement with its anticipated features and specifications.

Compact Utility Vehicle with Impressive Size

The MG Cloud EV is referred to as a Compact Utility Vehicle (CUV), resembling a hatchback in appearance. With measurements of 1,850 mm in width, 1,652 mm in height, and 4,295 mm in length, it is quite large. The Cloud EV is both taller and wider, featuring a wheelbase 115 mm longer.

Expected Features of the MG Cloud EV

The teaser reveals several key features of the MG Cloud EV, including:
- Panoramic sunroof
- 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels
- Fully reclining seats

Drawing inspiration from the Wuling Cloud EV, the MG Cloud EV is likely to come with a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an 8.8-inch digital driver display, wireless phone charging, ambient lighting, and a 360-degree camera.

Battery and Range Expectations

While MG Motor has not yet confirmed the technical details, the Cloud EV is expected to offer battery options similar to the Wuling Cloud EV. These include:

- 37.9 kWh battery with a range of 360 km per charge
- 50.6 kWh battery with a range of 460 km per charge

Launch Timeline and Pricing

The MG Cloud EV is anticipated to launch in India in September, aligning with the festive season. It is expected to be priced under ₹15 Lakh - ₹20 lakh, making it a more affordable option compared to the latest MG ZS EV Excite Pro which has been recently launched in India.
